Petrobras Reports First Oil with Dril-Quip’s Dry Tree System on First TLWP Installed in Brazil

On March 15, 2015, Petrobras Brazil’s first Tension Leg Wellhead Platform (TLWP), P-61, flowed its first oil in the Papa Terra field off the Brazilian coast. The floating production platform is the first of its kind in the country with 13 production wells in a water depth of 1,200 meters. Dril-Quip is supplying the project’s subsea wellheads and dry-tree systems which include tie-back connectors, production riser, riser tensioning systems, platform wellheads, production trees, drilling riser and drilling riser tensioners.
