Dril-Quip, Inc. Celebrates Grand Opening of Technology and Learning Center


Dril-Quip, Inc. is proud to announce the official grand opening of the Gary D. Smith (GDS) Learning Center. The GDS Learning Center serves the educational needs of Dril-Quip employees and clients.

Providing training, meeting rooms and conference capabilities in a private setting, the GDS Learning Center is a 71,000 square foot facility within Dril-Quip’s 218-acre campus; centrally located in the energy corridor of Houston, TX. The facility features a 100-seat auditorium, four additional 40-seat training rooms, a 22-seat board room, a computer lab with 24 workstations, a 27,700 square foot semi-open pavilion for large open-air events and a model room that hosts full-scale product displays. The GDS Learning Center also has a catering area, serving 40 guests breakfast, lunch or dinner in buffet style.

The GDS Learning Center is a testament to Dril-Quip’s commitment to provide education and technology to the future innovators of the oil and gas industry.
