DHF SERIES FIRE RESISTANT GATE VALVES

API 6FC Bonnet Features:

Stem-to-bonnet, metal-to-metal backseat engages in a fire, eliminating possibility of packing burning out and creating new fuel source for the fire

All other components will withstand a half-hour burn and cooldown without leaking

After valve cools down, the stem packing is replaced and the valve stroked (pressurized valve must not show any significant leakage during test)

Metal-to-metal DX® Bonnet Seal is pressure-energized and will not leak due to high temperatures
Eutectic Ring positioned above upper bearing face melts in event of a fire or if temperature exceeds 250°
If Eutectic Ring melts, valve body pressure forces stem upward and metal-to-metal backseat seal is engaged, isolating valve bore and body pressure from stem packing
Spring cartridge engages stem's backseat when Eutectic Ring melts and there is no or low body pressure in gate valve
6FA version available for Dril-Quip split gate valves

API 6FA Features:
Components of a pressurized valve can withstand a half-hour burn and cooldown and one-time operation without significant leakage
The Stem packing is made up of high temperature Teflon® and metal back up ring that can withstand the heat of a half-hour burn.

Designs meet standard API specifications - 6FA and 6FC
Metal-to-metal, seat-to-body and seat-to-gate seals
Fire-resistant bonnet design
